Bronze Gives Back
One small repair a month, free, for a Miami-Dade household that needs it. Grab bars, lighting, a door that will not close, drywall after a leak.
A Small Repair Can Change Somebody's Week
We spend our working life in kitchens that cost more than a car. We are also aware that two grab bars and a decent light over the shower is the difference between an elderly person staying in their home and not.
So once a month a Bronze crew does one job for free. Nothing structural, nothing that needs a permit — small, practical, done properly, in and out in a day.
We do not photograph the family, we do not ask anyone to be grateful on camera, and we do not put their story on our Instagram. If we show anything, it is the work.
What We Can Do
Small, same-day work that makes a home safer or more usable. Held to the same standard as a paid job.
Yes
- Grab bars and bathroom safety fittings
- Better lighting, especially in bathrooms and stairs
- Drywall and paint repair after a leak
- Doors and windows that no longer close properly
- Small flooring repairs and trip hazards
- Leaking taps, running toilets, blocked traps
- Handrails and a single step or threshold ramp
Not This Programme
- Anything structural or requiring a permit
- Roof replacement or major water intrusion
- Full room remodels
- Electrical panel or service work
- Work on a rental where the landlord is responsible
If what you need is bigger than this, write anyway. We may know an organisation that handles it, and pointing you there is free too.
Who It Is for
Homeowners in Miami-Dade. You do not need to prove anything or fill in a means test — just tell us the situation honestly.
Older Adults
Especially where a small change means staying at home instead of moving.
Veterans
And families of service members, in Miami-Dade.
Single Parents
Where a repair has been waiting because the money went somewhere more urgent.
Full-time Caregivers
Looking after someone at home, where the house needs to work harder than it does.
Tell Us About It
Yours or somebody else's — plenty of these come from a neighbour or a daughter rather than the person who needs the work.
Work with an Organisation?
If you run a Miami-Dade nonprofit, a church group or a senior services programme and you have a list of small repairs, we would rather work through you than one at a time.
Aún sin organizaciones aliadas nombradas. Cuando haya, van acá — un programa social sin socios visibles se lee como declaración, no como práctica.
